As a dad, if you’re researching a baby crib / bassinet, you will be confused by the sheer number of options available.
Will a wooden cot / crib work? How useful is a mulitpurpose crib? How useful is a crib at all? How mobile is the crib really? How portable / mobile does it need to be? These are all valid questions you may find yourself asking.
We asked these questions ourselves. We bought the StarAndDaisy 10-in-1 Baby Crib Cradle with Height Adjustments with Detachable Mosquito net and Storage Basket. This is our review of this product where we explain its ins and outs and why it’s worked for us.
First Impressions

The StarAndDaisy 10-in-1 Baby Crib Cradle comes with a detachable mosquito net awning, and a movable bed base. This allows you to use the product in multiple ways. The material used is an alluminium alloy that folds down and lays flat on the floor. This makes it easy to take with you on road trips with your newborn.

We have used this product for 12 months in all the modes it offers. This includes the crib / bassinet mode and in the playpen mode. We have travelled nearly 1600 kms with this product on various road trips, and it has held up reasonably well.
Once you get the hang of it, the installation and dismantling takes about 5 to 10 minutes. This makes it a travel friendly crib.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- The product is reasonably light and is travel friendly – we’ve taken many trips with this to destinations where baby cribs were not available and it has been immensely helpful to know that the baby will be comfortable at night.
- The product does have various uses – as a bassinet first, a co-sleeper, and as a playpen later.
- The wheels allow for easy transport from roomt to room, especially in the playpen mode.
- The bed lining is removable and washable so that’s a big plus.
- The pricing is on point – we paid around INR 8000, and as of the time of this post, it is available on StarandDaisy website for INR 9799.
Cons
- The first item to develop issues with usage was the mosquito net / awning – the plastic inside that allows the awning to hold its shape started coming off the edges. While this does not affect the functionality, it does look unseemly.
- The mosquito net / awning is in such a way that it restricts airflow on nearly one half of the bassinet. Plus, while it does cover the entire top, there are gaps where mosquitos.
- The cradle mode is quite useless, and the co-sleeper mode wasn’t used by us at all.
Why not Wooden Cribs?
There are several wooden cribs / bassinets available in the market nowadays, and with similar or even better features. The reason we picked this one was because it folded flat and weighed very little, allowing us to take this on our road-trips. If that is not a prime area of concern for you, perhaps wooden cribs / bassinets that convert into beds

As a parent that’s used this product for a year, we would rate the StarAndDaisy 10-in-1 Baby Crib: a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It is value for money, and the biggest advantages are its mobility, as well as the ability to convert into a playpen. You will be able to use the StarAndDaisy 10-in-1 Baby Crib Cradle for a couple of years at least, right from the newborn stages to toddlerhood!
